Environmental Education

AUM’s mission reflects a strong commitment to sustainability, embedded as a core value across its academic and institutional framework. This commitment is further reinforced in AUM’s learning and educational philosophy, where “Sustainability and Global Perspectives” is established as a cross-cutting principle. This principle emphasizes the development of intercultural awareness, environmental stewardship, and social responsibility, while integrating local, regional, and global perspectives. Through this approach, AUM prepares students to navigate and contribute effectively to an increasingly interconnected and complex world.

AUM further demonstrates its commitment to the environmental pillar of ESG by promoting environmental education through its accredited programs and courses aligned with sustainability goals. This includes learning opportunities that address critical issues such as climate change, resource management, and broader environmental awareness.

In addition, AUM actively engages students through sustainability-focused initiatives and experiential learning activities, including the Annual Startup Challenge, Innovation Fairs, academic travel programs, and research projects. These initiatives foster creative problem-solving and encourage students to develop solutions with tangible, real-world environmental impact.
