The Marketing and Communication department at the university is in charge of disseminating information and important decisions to both the local and international community from new or current students, to prospective and graduated students, corporate and professionals, and international partners.

AUM considers press as a crucial platform for communicating with the Kuwaiti community. The University regularly publishes press releases in local newspapers to ensure that members of the community are well-informed about its important governance decisions, achievements, news and events. AUM publishes a yearly press release which is a concise annual report, providing the community information about the important governance decisions (e.g. international and industry collaborations) and achievements made throughout the year.

In June 2022, local media was invited to a press conference at the university, for the occasion of the launching of AUM Artificial Intelligence and Innovation Centre in collaboration with AMENA Centre at UC Berkeley, United States.
The American University of the Middle East (AUM) revealed its vision to advance AI and innovation in the region during this inauguration event at the AUM Cultural Center.
